We were testing tethering on the new 3GS iPhone on Zain network and got pleasant max download speed reached 6Mbps with about 5Mbps average rate … Awesome!
This rate was while downloading torrents, so we would expect reaching iPhone’s top supported speed (7.2Mbps) with direct download.

that doesnt look close to 6mb…infact, thats not even 1
Actually it is … Internet speed is counted in Mega bits not Mega Bytes, so if you convert that 758.8 Kilo Bytes into Mega bits you should get about 6 Mega bits or 6Mb

Any idea about their Routers ? or its only for the ego thing ?
No! We don’t have router to test their speed, however, you should notice enhancement … we only tested it with new speed packages!
921 kB/s is 7.2mbit/sec, but this is not bad. getting 758k from air :p
the bandwidth limit of 25gb makes it useless though :\
Is the bandwidth limit advertised or is it hidden within the contract?
i have subscribe 2day to the new 7.2 Mbps zain service but till now it didn’t worked the guy said it will take only 30 to 45 min & it took more than 4 hours but nothing is working i have called 107 they said just switch it reboot it … i have done all that still nothing.. :ss
