I noticed that Starbucks coffee (in Kuwait) has changed logo colors on their white and brown sugar from old green to dull black. I asked the guys at Starbucks but no one knew the answer; the best response was that “they may ran out of inks”
Update: We got feedback from Starbucks (AlShaya) “With regards to your inquiry on the Starbucks logo color on the sugar packs, both logos are approved and used by Starbucks international and there is no particular reason behind this change.”

Cost cutting
With 60% more expensive than US prices Kuwait branches cutting cost
Do you know the prices differ from a State to another as well
Sure Know! Yet, in the states they are more focused on customers and social responsibilities of the brand. For many customers this’s ok
All the ‘green’ ink is still stuck at Copenhagen !
Good one
RAN OUTTA INK!! lol!! they couldnt come up with a better one..
hehe… Ansam !!
Both of the logos are approved and used by Starbucks international, just a marketing method and no there is particular reason behind it.
Thanks for your kind feedback
Mourning the cut back of the frappo’s !
they ran out from the green ink
yeah, where is our Frappo
supporting obama
i believe that using more than one colour cost more money in prinint as i deal with this issue befor and as they have the black and white version of the logo, they decided this time to use the black and white and for starbucks this decision could save them $$$$$$$$$ becuase of the production and consumption size.
I’ve just read this post.. r u serious !! it doesn’t look like a joke .. why they changed the color of their sugar packs ?? i think u should b wiser in using ur time, posting abt something that has a real meaning !!!

seriously thanks for your honest comment, it helps understand how readers may interpret given post. We would appreciate having around
Well, this post won’t make sense unless you believe and aware of brand identity importance and how colors are carefully selected and have meanings in any brand. So any change in colors, fonts, logos of any big names company should always have meaning!
Starbucks brand value in 2009 list was 3,263 millions; which means to buy only Starbucks name without its products someone would pay the above amount.
Hope, this explains it in a nutshell
