    Both of the logos are approved and used by Starbucks international, just a marketing method and no there is particular reason behind it.

    i believe that using more than one colour cost more money in prinint as i deal with this issue befor and as they have the black and white version of the logo, they decided this time to use the black and white and for starbucks this decision could save them $$$$$$$$$ becuase of the production and consumption size.

    I’ve just read this post.. r u serious !! it doesn’t look like a joke .. why they changed the color of their sugar packs ?? i think u should b wiser in using ur time, posting abt something that has a real meaning !!!

      Well, this post won’t make sense unless you believe and aware of brand identity importance and how colors are carefully selected and have meanings in any brand. So any change in colors, fonts, logos of any big names company should always have meaning!
      Starbucks brand value in 2009 list was 3,263 millions; which means to buy only Starbucks name without its products someone would pay the above amount.
