R we ready for this type of advertising technique? Lately, using teasers as ways of marketing and advertising has become very popular in Kuwait. Teasers are nice and good methods to grab attention and create curiosity.  Most of teasers based campaigns were simple and straight forward.

What’s Flash mobs? It is significant number of people show up in a specific place to perform some actions for agreed time then leave the place as if nothing has happened.

Flash mobs are used for different causes; they could be used for marketing, protesting, appreciation, tribute, support, highlights, improvement … etc

Many big names and brandssuach as T-Mobile, Coca Cola have used this method for advertising. If it’s done correctly, it should have better effect than traditional methods.

In August 2008, Dubai attempted to organize world largest flash mob freeze of 1,000 people in Mall of the Emirate ended with failure after only 4 people showed up. So yes, it needs commitment since it takes place in real life environment not in studios.

Locally, we were told that Zain used flash mob for their Find Fahad game in the avenues where mob members were dressed in black T-shirt roaming around together.

Here’s list for some flash mobs activities

Pregnant women breakdancing in London

Purpose: Highlight that breakdacing is safe comparing to women giving birth in poor countries without a midwife, hospital or medicine. To raise awareness that women around the world are not getting the healthcare the need for pregnancy.

GLEE – Il (FOX TV)
