The identity of The Stig, the always-anonymous test driver on ‘Top Gear,’ the wildly popular British television show about cars, has long been kept secret. The BBC had asked Britain’s High Court for an injunction blocking the publication of an autobiography revealing The Stig’s identity. Almost. He’s just “one of many” stigs in the program but probably earned the spotlight for his continuos appearances in BBC related media.
One episode they featured the unmasking of the stig and guess who was driving? Michael Schumacher. You can find it on youtube. Another episode the stig had notable long hair, and another where the stig was fat and it goes a long way… In other words, they have multiple stigs and the best lap time gets featured in the episode.
