Pitch Perfect is a fun movie which i saw last year. I’ve did a review post about that movie (click here) and how my friends and i enjoyed watching the movie. I think its the most movie a wrote about for the things follow up related to the movie like this CUP song story.

The movie is still producing nice clips as soundtrack and stuff like that. Check out the Pitch Perfect soundtrack for Nicki Minaj star ships. What i like about it that the clips was done by fans of the movie and there was no music instruments used

last year in December i did a movie review for Pitch Perfect - if you didn’t watch the movie go watch it now! – which my friends and i saw during movie night at my home theater. We really liked the movies, could be due to its musical orientation of the movie.

One of the scenes of the movie Anna Kendrick sings “When I’m gone” in an a capella style with the use of a cup ! as you can see in the YouTube below – the scene in the movie-

Now the song with the use of the cup has picked up big time to the extent that Anna Kendrick did a video clip for it (O_o). In my opinion it deserves the video clip. I really like how they did it and i hope you like it too.

Rummer has it that when they did the movie “Pitch Perfect” they -the director- saw a YouTube video for a girl that did this song using the cup and they took that and did it for the scene! cool

My friend Taz which is becoming my movies night consultant has recommended this movie for our upcoming movie night gathering at my crib. Taz has recommended a number of movies before (Pitch PerfectScott pilgrim VS the world) and the all turn great after words i post a review about them on the blog but this time i’m posting about this movie without watching it first. I know this could be wrong but i’ll give Taz the benefit of the doubt.

Press Screening of “White House Down”

Thursday, June 27th, 2013

White houes down

As i was checking my email earlier this week i saw an email from Cinescape inviting us for a press screening for the movie “White House Down” as can you see the poster above.

What had me thinking is i don’t consider my self as press really although the invitations was for press as a blogger and i’m sure most of blogger consider them selves as bloggers and not press, i might not be politically correct.

I took Taz since Itsallg000d couldn’t make it.

Honestly i didn’t think much of the movie. Moreover, when we arrived at the cinema very few people where there and i didn’t arrive early. People started to show up more and more and the cinema gradually filling up.

Enough about this and more about the movie. Usually i rarely do posts about movies unless i really like them and in this case i really do and as my friend Taz sad on our way out when the movie finished which was 2h 30min long is “if you don’t get board at a long movie like that it means it’s good” and indeed it was a good movie i give it two thumps up ;)

Snow White and the Huntsman [Review]

Saturday, June 2nd, 2012

I didn’t know what to expect when I decided to join my buddy Abdulrahman from ChapterQ8 blog to go and see Snow White and the Huntsman… from what I recall, there was a little role for a “Huntsman” back in the old days of yore, and watching the trailer, I honestly didn’t know what I signed myself for. Apparently it turned out that I was walking in on my worst nightmare. Read more for the full review.

Tom Hiddleston

Full List from IMDB

Production House:

More Info:

Website, Wikipedia, IMDB

Plot (Summarized – May Contain Spoilers):

In a senseless attempt to satisfy his thirst for revenge and might, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) is attempting to assemble an army of an alien nation that goes by the name “Chitauri” (to you who speak Persian, I know…) in order to conquer and rule earth and consequently ended up successfully stealing The Tesseract; an unlimited energy source of some kind that comes in the shape of a cube.

S.H.I.E.L.D. under the leadership of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) sent their agents to find and recruit who would now be known as “The Avengers” to stop Luki, retrieve the Tesseract and stop an alien invasion in the process.

My Take:

When I first wrote about the avengers back in August 2011 I was so enthralled about the idea while in the same time so petrified it would simply suck.

I mean c’mon, this movie is full of stars that there are barely any stars left up there to look at! It’s the ultimate conflict of interest, a hybrid stew of fish and meat… it just can’t work

Boy was I wrong…

Many have though “Joss Whedon?! How, why?!” but the dude proved himself a master of direction! To be able to synchronize the cast in a way that just sing in harmony is not an easy feat and he did it like he’s been doing it all his life!

I can’t remember an emotion that I did not feel throughout the movie, it was a rollercoaster of multiple genres that should not have worked out but it did, from beginning to end, there was intensity, awe, shock, fear, grief, happiness and a senseless but well employed comedy.

The cast just seemed to complete each other, with all their differences somehow Mr. Whedon made it all seem like all of the cast were made for their parts and now that I’ve seen the movie, I can’t imagine what the movie would have looked like without all of the current cast in it!

The camera work was stunningly complex yet fluid and easy to follow, backed up by a constantly adaptive soundtrack and SFX, the CG work was as brilliant as ever.

The whole thing was an eye-pleasing symphony of super-hero action mash-up… What on earth are you waiting for?! It’s a simple three-step procedure:

1-    Watch it in the Theater

2-    Watch it again

3-    Buy the Blue Ray version when it’s out AND watch it again!

Now go!

PS. Don’t leave the theater when the movie ends, as usual, there’s a little post-credit “stuff” for you after the ending, Enjoy ;)

Rating:

5 out of 5
(I would have given it 6 out of 5, but Cinescape “KNCC” took the bonus 6th star out of the movie: Read below for some rant)

A message to KNCC (Cinescape):

Really?! I can understand the usual censorships but to have jumps and cuts during fight-scenes and conversations?! I mean it’s not like the hulk is kissing his enemies to death!! And just in case it didn’t sink in yet, many of us DO CARE about the progression of the story line and the conversations that convey it.

PLEASE stop, stop doing that, stop cutting down the show time on our expense; it takes the fun out of the movie, disturbs the flow of the action and just leaves you with an uneasy feeling of “disturbance”, you should have heard the murmuring and dissatisfaction in the theater after each and every cut… I mean really??

We still love you guys, just take it easy with that knife of yours. Cheerios!
