My Kind of Diet Plan

A research from the Tel Aviv University has found that adding dessert to your morning balanced () breakfast would help you  lose wight .. amen

They say the key is that body’s metabolism is at its most active and we are better able to work off the extra calories throughout the day. Plus, trying to  avoid sweets entirely would create psychological addiction in the long run while adding  dessert items to breakfast can control cravings throughout the rest of the day .. good stuff

Any volunteer to go on this diet?


Jamie Oliver Doesn’t Like Our Diet!

Jamie Oliver, British chef and UK restaurateur, does not like our eating habits we copied from West’s fast food culture! here’s what he said in  One Young World conference in Switzerland.

“There seems to be a trend with developing countries wanting to follow in the footsteps of the western world, and copy their patterns of fast food and consumerism,” and added “Pre-packed convenience food is seen as a symbol of being ‘modern’ in developing countries, but the problems it causes are long-term, and costly.”


Cooking Lap: Poached Omelette

I’ve been on diet for about 3 weeks, i go through same menu everyday my breakfast has to have salad, turkey slices, and boiled/poached eggs. I do all best to make meals look & taste good, being an omelette guy i had to do something!

An idea came to mind earlier this week to have poached or baked omelette (without oil off course) assuming the whole idea of boiled/poached eggs is to limit fat content.  Well, it turned tasting good .. different flavor profile and very close in taste and texture to eggs quiche but without the cheese :)

The whole idea and steps are very easy to execute, all you need egg, plastic wrap to make egg pouch, and anything you may want to have with your omelette (mushroom, cheese, turkey, tomatoes … etc) I made mine with egg, black pepper for seasoning, chopped parsley and turkey.
